EXPERIENCE AT A LEADING AFRICAN STARTUP

Dive in and begin working on deliverables at fast-growing African startups that are hiring now. Our fellows are expected to hit the ground running with specific projects assigned by partner startups from the beginning, while gaining access to senior executives who will provide feedback on their work.

FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

Following the 3-month VFA program, both parties can discuss the potential for a full-time role with our startup partners, and talent will be fast-tracked through ordinary application processes.

How does it work?

Week 4

Successful applicants will be offered a spot in the VFA cohort, and be asked to sign a candidate agreement.

Placements

Candidates will receive a stipend for their work for the duration of the program. Note that the stipend amount is not indicative of what a salary might be if the candidate was to be offered a full-time role with the startup.

The Ideal Candidate

Candidate requirements are typically specific to the fellowship position in question, with roles ranging from product to strategy, marketing, growth, strategic finance, and analytics.

However, as a general rule of thumb, we look for individuals:

01

with 4+ years of professional experience in any core discipline.

02

who are available for 20-25 hours a week for an initial 3 months to work with one of our partner startups.

03

who are also keen on/open to transitioning into working with tech startups on the continent full-time.
